Week of March 23 to March 27

Feature Writing
Students will submit memoirs on Monday 3/23 and will continue searching for a nonfiction text that parallels the investigative journalism project. Books must be obtained by Friday 3/27 and reading will begin the following week. Students should also continue to plan for the investigative project.

English 11
Students will attend a meeting on Monday 3/23 to discuss the updated senior projects. Students will continue reading Hamlet, working specifically on Act II. Study guides will be distributed on Tuesday and must be completed by Friday 3/27. A Vocabulary quiz for lesson 5B will also be given on Friday 3/27.

Practical English 12
Students will finish reading Lord of the Flies and will finish the study guide for Chapters 8-12. Preparation for the final test will be given on Wednesday; the test will occur on Thursday 3/26. A Vocabulary quiz on list 3 will be given on Friday 3/27.

Honors English 10
Due to an unexpected absence, the rough draft of the research project will be extended to Tuesday 3/24; all other dates for the project are tentative and will be updated upon my return to school. Students will begin reading To Kill a Mockingbird and will be responsible for reading the first 6 chapters by Friday 3/27; an updated list of reading schedules for the next two weeks will be posted in class. Students will also complete the 8A vocabulary quiz on Friday 3/27.

Journalism
Students will begin a unit on Typography and will complete all work and reviews in class, but will be responsible to study for the quiz given on Friday 3/27.
