Week of April 24 to April 28

Broadcast Journalism
Students will work on Copyediting and Style in Chapter 3 of the text book. The quiz will be given on Friday 4/28.

Honors English 10
Students will review Julius Caesar and will complete a final test on Wednesday 4/26; there will be a voluntary after-school study session for interested students on Tuesday 4/25. Iambic Pentameter poetry projects will be due Friday 5/5.

Feature Writing
Students should compile final notes on Immersion project and start creating an outline that includes the research articles in addition to the first-hand experience.

Week of April 17 to April 21

Broadcast Journalism
Students will complete a test on Chapter 2 of the textbook on Tuesday 4/18. All packets for Chapter 2 must be submitted this week. Current Event #2 due Friday 4/21.

Honors English 10
Students will finish readings Acts IV and V of Julius Caesar. A test will be given on the entire play on Wednesday 4/26. Due dates for the projects will be announced next week.

Feature Writing
Students will continue updating blogs and must submit three scholarly articles referencing their topic by Friday 4/28.

Week of April 10 to April 13

Broadcast Journalism
Students must complete the Chapter 2 packet and submit it by Thursday. There will be no current event assignment this week. Quiz on Chapter 2 will be Thursday 4/13.

Honors English 10
Students will review MLA format and will use information covered on Ethos, Pathos, Logos from Julius Caesar to create a persuasive argument. The quiz on Julius Caesar Acts I-III will be Wednesday 4/12, with a full-class review and voluntary after school session on Tuesday 4/11.

Feature Writing
Students should continue to keep current and updated blog entries for their immersive project. Students will be required to incorporate a minimum of three articles relative to their project topic and submit them for review by Tuesday 4/18.

Week of April 3 to April 7

Broadcast Journalism
Students will be responsible for current events for the next 5 weeks. Students can also volunteer for group projects such as collections for the Senior Yearbook or editing of the Scholar Athlete Banquet.

Honors English 10
Students must submit group projects for the To Kill a Mockingbird Board Games on Monday 4/3. Extra Credit will be accepted until Tuesday 4/4. A synopsis of Act I for Julius Caesar will be due by Wednesday 4/5. Readings for Act II must be completed by Friday 4/7.

Feature Writing
Students will begin blogging four times a week for the Investigative Journalism project and should be prepared to discuss the progress of their projects during class.
