Week of March 28 to April 1

Honors English 10
Students will continue working on both the Abstract Adjective Character Depiction project and the TKAM Board Game project. Class time on Monday - Wednesday will be devoted to group work on the projects. Students will then begin the introduction to Shakespeare on Thursday.

Honors English 12
Students will work on APA research papers. The final submission of research abstracts will be due on Wednesday 3/30.

Feature Writing
Students will plan, conduct, and record the Oral History interview by Tuesday 3/29. Students will then convert the recording into a written piece of at least 1,000 words. Students will be graded on the article as well as the questioning techniques used during the interview.

Week of March 21 to March 24

Honors English 10
Students will complete the Final Test on To Kill a Mockingbird on Wednesday 3/23. All time in class on 3/22, 3/24, 3/28, 3/29, and 3/30 will be dedicated to group work for the Abstract Adjective Character Depiction and the To Kill a Mockingbird Board Game projects. Due dates for both projects have yet to be determined but will definitely be in the 4th marking period.

Honors English 12
Students will complete the Final Test on 1984 and will submit the completed assignment on Thursday 3/24. Abstract revisions will be due on Tuesday 3/22 and the final article submissions will be submitted on Tuesday 3/29. Outlines will also be collected on Tuesday 3/29. Students should begin organizing information for an initial draft of the research project.

Feature Writing
Students will plan to conduct an extensive recorded interview as the first step of the Oral History project. Students must submit the name and topic of their interview for approval by Wednesday 3/23 and must complete the interview by Tuesday 3/29. Once the interview is complete, students will work on transcribing information during class to form a completed article. The final project will be due Friday April 1.

Journalism
Students will plan the "In the News" filming schedule for April and will begin assigning stories and packages.

Week of March 7 to March 11

Honors English 10
Students will continue individual readings of To Kill a Mockingbird and will contribute with notes to in-class discussions. The for readings is as follows: Chapters 22-23 (284-304) for Wednesday 3/9; Chapters 24-25 (305-323) for Friday 3/11; Chapters 26-27 (324-340) for Tuesday 3/15; Chapters 28-31 (341-376) for Thursday 3/17. The final test on To Kill a Mockingbird is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday 3/23.

Honors English 12
Students will submit for articles to be used in the research paper on Monday 3/7; an additional four articles on Monday 3/14; and a final two articles on Monday 3/21. Outlines for the paper will be due on Monday 3/28. Students will also continue reading 1984. All readings for Part Two will be completed by Friday 3/11.

Journalism & Feature Writing
Students will aid the Yearbook staff by writing contributions to introductory sections of each extracurricular activity. Students will be required to schedule interviews with members of each activity in order to obtain the necessary information to draft each section. Feature Writing students must also submit a project proposal for the Immersion Writing Paper by Friday 3/11.
