Journalism
Students will work on leads and headlines in class. They will also begin reading articles in police blotters to prepare for an upcoming writing assignment.
Advanced Writing
Students will review common mistake with grammar, syntax, and punctuation. The remainder of the course will stray from creative writing and will focus primarily on structural elements.
English 10
Students will work on objects and complements. Worksheets will be completed throughout the week and a quiz will be given on Thursday December 5. The quiz for vocabulary list 6 will be given on Friday December 6.
Honors English 10
Students will complete the Objects/Complements quiz on Tuesday December 3. Wednesday's class will begin coverage of prepositional phrases as modifiers. Vocabulary quiz 5 will be given on Friday December 6. The weeks between now and winter break will include participial, gerund, and infinitive phrases.
