Week of December 19 to December 23

Broadcast Journalism
No newscast this week. All work will be in preparation for January.

Honors English 10
Students will continue working on Verbals and will complete Infinitives this week.

Advanced Writing
Students will continue working on drafts for the creative story. Total count of 5,000 words must be submitted on January 6th,

Practical English 10
Students will finish Act III of Julius Caesar and will submit all completed study guides by Wednesday. A test on Acts I-III will be given on Thursday 12/22.

Week of December 12 to December 16

Broadcast Journalism
Written reactions to network coverage assignment will be due on Friday 12/16. Students will also plan calendar for January schedule.

Honors English 10
Students will continue work with grammar. Prepositional phrase quiz will be on Wednesday. After prepositional phrases, students will begin work on Verbals and will test on all three types on Thursday 12/23. Homework for vocabulary list 4 will be due on Friday 12/16.

Advanced Writing
Students should have submitted work for the writing contest. Students will begin working on a 5,000 word story that will be due on Friday January 6th.

Practical English 10
Reading of Julius Caesar will begin on Monday. Study Guides for Act One will be due Wednesday 12/16, and Study Guides for Act Two will be due Monday 12/19. Students will test on Gerunds on Wednesday 12/14. Vocabulary homework will be due on Friday 12/16.

December 5 to December 9

Broadcast Journalism
Students are responsible for planning the episodes for the remainder of the year. Students must also submit Trivia Questions and Answers for Episode 12.9 by Wednesday.

Honors English 10
Students will submit Lyrics in Literature papers by Tuesday 12.6 at the beginning of class. Object/Complement assignments are due on Tuesday as well. The Object/Complement Quiz will be given on Wednesday 12.7. Vocabulary quizzes for List 4 will be given on Friday 12/9.

Advanced Writing
Students will research online writing contests and must provide a submission for a contest this week. Deadline for submissions must be prior to February.

Practical English 10
Students will focus on preparation for the Keystone Exams, specifically for Extended Response questions in the ACE method. Students must complete Keys 6 & 7 in the Keystone Prep workbooks and submit them by Tuesday. Following the exams, students will begin preparing for Julius Caesar by covering historical elements of Roman culture.
