English 11
Students will read sections in the textbooks and take notes during class. Any notes not completed in class will become homework. This week's sections include the introductory section titled Beginnings to 1750, The Earth on Turtle's Back and When Grizzlies Walked Upright. Students will also take a Quiz on Literary Terms on Thurs. 9/8. Vocabulary #1 definitions and sentences will also be checked on this day.
Journalism
Students will be required to take outline the chapter on the History of American Journalism. After reviewing prominent figures in the history of journalism, students will choose a current figure to prepare a brief presentation due Fri. 9/9.
SAT Prep
Students will complete a quiz on literary terms this week. All other assignments will be completed in class.
Honors English 10
Students will complete a list of examples of specific Literary Terms. Vocabulary List #1 will be given on Friday and students will be required to complete the work for homework.
