Week of September 19 to September 24

English 11
Students will continue working on the first unit and will focus on examples of Puritan literature. As part of a class-reading students will also be required to compile a mini-journal that will be done in class and will carry a point value. All work for vocabulary list 2, including definitions and sentences, will be due Friday Sept. 23. Students may also receive homework assignments based upon their individual in-class reading - these assignments will be announced in class and will always be due the following day.

Journalism
Students will give mini-presentations that were postponed from the previous week on Monday prior to working on articles. Article #1 will be due Tuesday Sept. 20 and must meet the following requirements (approved topic, 3/4 pg length, typed, TNR 12pt., double-spaced). Students will have a quiz on Parts of a Newspaper and Copyediting Marks next week.

Honors English 10
Students will continue on the Short Stories Unit and will discuss The Lottery on Monday Sept. 19. Students will move to the Poe classic, Masque of the Red Death which will require them to complete a group storyboard in class and a one-page perspective paper due Friday Sept. 23. All work for vocabulary 1B will also be submitted on Friday.

SAT Prep
All work for this week will be completed during class time.
