English 11
Students will take notes in class while reading pieces of Native American literature. Students will be assigned writing assignment which requires them to create their own Native American-style Origin Story (must be ONE FULL PAGE TYPED - Times New Roman 12 pt) due Wed. 9/21. Vocabulary #1 Quiz will be given on Friday 9/16.
Journalism
Students will take notes in class on the History of American Journalism and some prominent figures who have contributed to the field. A quiz on this information will be given Thurs. 9/15. Students will be assigned a free-topic article due Wed. 9/21 (must be 3/4 page TYPED - Times New Roman 12 pt).
Honors English 10
Literary Device examples will be submitted Mon. 9/12. Students will be given graphic organizers and other worksheets that coincide with in-class readings. All worksheets will be due the day after each is assigned. Vocabulary #1 definitions will be due Wed. 9/14 with a quiz to follow on Fri. 9/16. Students will also complete the Literary Device Quiz on Fri. 9/16.
