Week of February 8 to February 11

Honors English 10
Students should have read up to and including Chapter 7 of To Kill a Mockingbird and completed the corresponding study guide questions. All work for identity charts, article responses, and acrostic poems are due Monday 2/8. Students will continue to discuss Part I of the novel in class throughout the week and will be responsible for taking notes and completing an assignment on archetypes and urban legends.

Honors English 12
Students must submit a thesis for the APA Research Project by Thursday 2/11. Throughout the week students will be given instruction on the expectations for the project and must begin compiling resources in their intended field of study following graduation. Students are responsible for conferencing with a "partner" who is a NS alum and is currently studying in that same field. Partner names must be submitted by Thursday as well.

Feature Writing
Students will continue viewing the documentary Supersize Me and will take notes on the film's content as well as its effectiveness in conveying news. Students will also be responsible for contributing to news packages for this week's morning broadcast.
