Honors English 10
Students will complete a constructed response exam based on information covered in Part One of To Kill a Mockingbird on Monday 2/22. Students are responsible for reading Chapters 12-15 (pgs 153-207) by Wednesday 2/24. CDT Testing will take place on Thursday 2/25 & Friday 2/26.
Honors English 12
Students are responsible for reading Chapter 5 of 1984 by Monday 2/22, and Chapters 6-8 by Thursday 2/25. Research topics will be discussed in individual conferences on Tuesday 2/23 & Wednesday 2/24. A test on Part One of 1984 will be given Friday 2/26.
Feature Writing
Students will spend Monday 2/22 & Tuesday 2/23 reading examples of "How To" articles and discussing specific elements of each in class. Wednesday 2/24 & Thursday 2/25 will cover a "Top 10" article and will have similar discussion. Students will write examples of each in class.
Journalism
Students will prepare for the script writing elements of the broadcast news by drafting sample introductions for five separate stories.
