Honors English 10
Students will continue the introduction to the reading of To Kill a Mockingbird and will focus on elements of characterization including stereotype, identity, and a disclosure of some sensitive content presented in the novel. Students will be responsible for reading Chapters 1-3 by Friday 1/29 and completing the Study Guide questions and journal assignments.
Honors English 12
Students will discuss the final chapters of Frankenstein and will give a comprehensive analysis in class. The final assessment will be given on Friday 1/29. Students will submit potential topics for research by Tuesday 2/2.
Feature Writing & Journalism
Students will view examples of investigative journalism through documentary style films and television series episodes. During the videos, students will take notes on common elements used in gathering information and presenting it in a way that differs from typical news.
