Broadcast Journalism
Written reactions to network coverage assignment will be due on Friday 12/16. Students will also plan calendar for January schedule.

Students will continue work with grammar. Prepositional phrase quiz will be on Wednesday. After prepositional phrases, students will begin work on Verbals and will test on all three types on Thursday 12/23. Homework for vocabulary list 4 will be due on Friday 12/16.

Students must complete the Broadcast Journalism terminology quiz on Tuesday 11/22. Students must then complete a one page paper on a famous American Journalist from 1950-2010; papers will be due by Friday 12/2.

Students must submit Part 3 Study Guides for Fahrenheit 451 by Monday 11/21. The final test on the novel will be given on Tuesday 11/22. Both submissions for the Propaganda Commercial project are due by Wednesday 11/23 at the beginning of class - all files must be accessible at that time; paper accompaniment must also be given that day. Vocabulary homework for Lesson 3 is due Friday 12/2. The Lyrics in Literature paper must be submitted on Monday 12/5; lyrics must be approved by me no later than Wednesday 11/30.
Students will also spend time in class preparing for the Keystone Exam. All Keystone work must be completed during regular class time. Keystone Literature tests are scheduled for Wed 12/7 and Thurs 12/8.

Broadcast Journalism
Students will continue planning for the rest of the year. Students will also begin viewing regular news programs and writing a synopsis of a typical story to better construct writing/editing skills of individual story packages.
Honors English 10
Students will continue working on propaganda projects with their groups. Commercials must be completed and submitted by Wednesday 11/23. Readings for Part III will be completed by Thursday 11/17 with daily in-class discussions. Study guides for Part III will be due on Friday 11/18. Final tests for Tuesday 11/22.
Advanced Writing
Students will attempt to recreate a specific element of a chosen author's voice or tone. Students must take notes at the writer workshop at Susquehanna University and must discuss what they learned from their individual shops with the class. Author writings are due Friday 11/18.
Practical English 10
Students will continue working on the Fahrenheit 451 projects. Projects will be due on Friday 11/18. Students will begin working on Verbal Phrases with worksheets due the following day of instruction. Quizzes on each verbal type will follow after three days of practice, setting up the first participial phrase quiz for Friday 11/18.

Students will continue to follow the reading schedule for Fahrenheit 451 which will be posted in class. Paradox assignments will be due Monday 10/31. Part II of the novel will be assigned throughout the next week, and students will begin planning for the Propaganda group project. Specific details on the project will be discussed later in the week. Quizzes for Vocabulary list 2 will be given on Friday 11/4.

Students will workshop Cheque by Ordeal stories. Following the workshop, students will begin working on punctuation usage in writing.
