Students will finish reading Hamlet and will prepare for a literary analysis writing project that involves making connections between lyrics and Shakespeare's text. Papers will be due Wednesday 5/16.
Honors English 10
Students will continue working on research projects and Julius Caesar. Rough drafts of the paper will be due Friday 5/11; in the event of an absence, papers will be due Monday 5/14 at the beginning of class. The Pathos/Logos essays will also be due Monday 5/14.

English 11 - Study guides for Act IV of Hamlet will be due Monday 4.30 with a quiz to follow on Tuesday 5.1. Readings for Act V will occur throughout the week and the corresponding study guide will be due on Monday 4.7.
Honors English 10 - Students will begin working on outlines for the research paper and will submit a final outline on Friday 5.4. Students will finish reading Act III of Julius Caesar which will incorporate a writing activity for homework involving persuasive speeches due Monday 4.7. A quiz covering information in the first three acts will be given on Friday 5.4.; vocabulary homework for Lesson 13 will also be checked on Friday.

Students will work on different styles of writing and will focus on organization of ideas in the prewriting stage which will then be followed by drafting and revision.

A gerund quiz will be given on Friday 3/9.
