Students will review grammar homework on Monday 12/19 with a parts of speech quiz on Tuesday 12/20. Students will begin working on subjects and predicates with corresponding worksheets to be done for homework.
Journalism
Students will work on Holiday/Police Report prompts and will submit the completed article on Thursday 12/22.
Honors English 10
Students will review infinitive worksheets on Monday 12/19 with a quiz to follow on Tuesday 12/20. Student will then begin working on appositive phrases with a brief quiz on Thursday 12/22. The comprehensive Phrase Test will be given on Friday 1/6.
SAT Prep
Students will continue working with writing activities in the SAT workbook.

Students will review vocabulary terms on Monday 12/12. Students will begin a review of parts of speech and parts of a sentence. Corresponding grammar worksheets will be given and should be completed within the next day. The vocabulary quiz for Lesson 7 will be Friday 12/16.

Students will submit the individual film critique on Monday 12/12. Students will begin working on broadcast journalism terminology with a review on Wednesday 12/14 and a quiz on 12/15.

Students will finish reading the final chapters for Of Mice and Men and will complete the corresponding Study Guide questions. The Vocabulary 6 quiz will be given on Friday 12/2.

Students will continue working with critiques of artistic performances. Students will view a film in class and work in pairs to construct a critique; for homework students will choose a medium for an individual critique and review. The individual project must be approved by Thursday 12/1.
Honors English 10

Students will be responsible for drafting two sports articles: one covering a professional sporting event; the other covering a high school sporting event. The high school sporting event MUST include a prescheduled interview.
