Honors English 10
Students will continue reading Part I of Fahrenheit 451. Students must read pg 35 by Monday. Subsequent reading assignments will be given in class and through the Remind.

Week of Oct 30 to Nov 3
Broadcast Journalism
Students will submit all assignments for MP1. A test on Chapter 2 of the text on Rights and Responsibilities of Journalists will be given on Wednesday 11/1. Current event 2.1 will be due Friday 11/3.
Honors English 10
Students will finish Unit 1 with a reading of Poe's The Raven and will begin preparing for the Unit Test scheduled for Thursday 11/2.

Students will continue working on planning and preparation for In the News segments throughout October. Students will also begin working on Chapter One - History of American Journalism in the textbook.

Students will continue a close-read of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher. Literary Response Journals for Masque of the Red Death and all worksheets will be due Monday 10/16. Creative Writing projects for Masque will be due Friday 10/20. LRJ for Usher will be due Wednesday 10/25.

Students will review for Chapter 4 Quiz on Wednesday 10/4 and will complete the assessment in class on Friday. Tech review for Friday will be moved to another day next week. Students will design form for advertising opportunities on ITN for fundraiser.

Students will present Literary Device Projects on Mon 10/2. Books will be distributed and students will begin familiarizing themselves with PearsonRealize in the text and online. Chapter 1 introduction will be covered in class and will start with the supplemental short story, Masque of the Red Death.

All missed work must be submitted by Friday 9.29. Students will submit a Timeline assignment in place of Friday's Current Event. A review for the Chapter 4 Quiz will be done on Wednesday 9.27 with the Quiz to follow on Monday 10.2.

Students will turn in Reading Guides for The Lottery on Friday 9.29. Literary Term projects are due Friday 9.29 and presentations of the projects will begin at the beginning of class.
